Otaku Daydreams

Your stop for anime reviews and more!

Hey there, dear reader. If you’ve just stumbled upon Otaku Daydreams and have no idea what it’s about, you’ve come to the right place! Otaku Daydreams is a blog about anime reviews and thoughts. I write about anime that I’ve watched recently, which include both on-going and completed ones. I usually give a brief summary and some comments, as well as highlight my favourite scenes in the episode or series. Occasionally, I will also participate in blog challenges, so there will be some non-anime related posts around. Still, being an otaku, nearly everything is possible to be linked back to anime!

More about myself:

Who am I?

I’m a 21-year-old girl who’s obsessed with anime. Those who see me as a “shy, quiet girl” just haven’t discovered the talkative otaku inside me.

Why am I here?

I started this blog in November when my school holidays started. Since the only thing I was doing was to watch anime, I felt that I should do something else. Having a blog would be good practice for writing. Combined with my addiction to anime, my blog, Otaku Daydreams, was formed.

Otaku? Check.

Passport? Wait, who said anything about needing one? Just hold on tight while we journey around the anime wonderland of Otaku Daydreams!

Blog created on 19th November 2013

  2. Hello! I am so glad I came upon your blog. Used to love anime when I was younger, but then I moved on to other obsessions (Korean dramas, of late). But I just started reading manga again, and now I found this! Hoping to find out about interesting stuff to watch from here. 🙂

  3. Lovely introduction and fascinating page. I can’t wait to see more!

  4. Have you stopped doing Zero to Hero? I kind of lost track on that too. Haha… I enjoyed your introduction.

  5. Hello! I just nominated you for the Liebster award. Check out my blog for the details. Enjoy!

  6. Haha I think we’re quite similar! All the best with blogging, I’m sure you’ll have lots of fun (:

  7. Konichiwa!
I recently stumbled upon your blog and I love it! It really helps me to write better reviews on my otaku blog. I would be honored if you could check it out, give me suggestions, etc. It’s called ‘A Confused Otaku’. http://aconfusedotaku.wordpress.com
It seems we have some things in common. I’m actually the “shy and quiet one” myself, but when you’re talking about anime, boy am I talkative! I also went through a period time when all I was doing was watching anime all day. Finally, I got over that when, one day, I realized that I had no idea what was going on the world. I took a huge break from anime and the computer and found that I was a lot more active! I was still reading manga a lot though. I just couldn’t stay away from it! Don’t have anime, read manga. Don’t have manga, watch anime!

    • I’m delighted to know another fellow otaku! It’s nice to know that we have things in common and I’m glad you like my blog. I just checked out your blog and it looks great! The blog title is cool too. 🙂

  8. Hey there! I nominated you for the Liebster Award! Go check it out!

  9. Sorry to bother you, but I was wondering something. Since you’ve done the Liebster Award, I was wondering if you could tell me the rules. Also, is there a certain day you can do the award or can you do it any time?

    Makino F. ❤

    • Well, you have to be nominated to receive the award.

      • I know that. I was actually wanted to nominate others for the Liebster Award, but I’m not really sure how to do it. I know about the nominating and 11 questions, but I wanted to know more details as I have nominees in my mind already.

      • Oh sorry. First, you have to answer the 11 questions given by the one who nominated you. Second, you have to nominate 11 bloggers. They must have less than 200 followers, and you can’t nominate the one qho nominated you. Third, you have to write 11 questions for them to answer. Finally, you must notify them about the award, for example, on their About page. There isn’t a particular day you can do the award. Hope this helps.

  10. Have you got twitter or something? I wanna follow you.

  11. Thank you for visiting my site and enjoying my writing, good to meet you!

  12. I’m nominating you to take part in answering the 50 Anime Questions in honour of World Otaku Day 2015.

Don’t forget to link back so we can read yours and add them to our list! Have fun!
